Confidence at Work & Beyond - Training Programme
Building self-belief, assertiveness and personal impact.
What participants will do
Explore what confidence really is, and use the comfort, stretch and panic zones to grow at their own pace.
Meet their inner critic, using an actor’s technique of turning it into a character, and learn to catch, check and change limiting thoughts.
Identify their strengths, values and transferable skills, and build an “evidence file” to counter impostor feelings.
Practise assertive communication: saying no, asking for what they need and disagreeing respectfully, using “I” statements and the DESC script.
Use breathing, grounding and posture to calm nerves, and explore status, presence and eye contact through theatre exercises.
Strengthen their voice with practical drills, then speak up in a realistic meeting simulation.
Rehearse a real situation from their own life through forum theatre, then deliver a powerful 60-second “Who I am and what I bring” statement.
Leave with a personal 30-day confidence plan.
What participants will gain
Self-belief: a clear sense of their strengths, values and what they bring to any role.
Assertiveness to set boundaries and ask for what they need, clearly, calmly and respectfully.
Presence: confident body language, a grounded stance and a steady, clear voice.
Calm under pressure, using techniques to manage nerves in meetings, interviews and difficult moments.
Resilience to bounce back from setbacks and handle change with a growth mindset.
Freedom from the inner critic, replacing self-doubt with accurate, encouraging thinking.
A confident return, for those coming back to work with a clear story of their value and transferable skills.
How your organisation benefits
More voices heard: employees who contribute ideas and speak up in meetings.
Healthier workplace communication: less passive or aggressive behaviour, and more respectful, assertive conversations.
Stronger performance: confident people take initiative, accept stretch opportunities and grow faster.
Smoother returns to work: returners settle back in more quickly and contribute with confidence sooner.
Greater wellbeing and resilience: staff who are better equipped to manage pressure and change.
Talent retention: an investment in people that shows they are valued.
Who it’s for
Employees at any level who want to build confidence, assertiveness and personal impact, and anyone planning to return to work after a career break, parental leave or time away.
